Shockingly, they work “as well” in the car. Ran out on a car trip. Put on a swimmie. Whoops.
We have had accidents even the few minutes it is to swim class. makes you wonder what they do in the water?
OMGosh. Those are THE WORST!! It took me 3 times to get peed on before I came to my senses! ugh!

If they don’t absorb the pool water then they don’t absorb anything else. Why do we even put them on the kids in the pool? I guess it makes us feel better or something.
