Keeping Mornings Sane(r) with Eggo *GIVEAWAY*

**This giveaway is now closed! Congratulations to the 5 winners, Katrina, Beth, Donna, Christina and Allyson! Hope Eggo helps your mornings be a little more sane!**

I am not a morning person. But my kids are. OH BOY are they. They hit the ground running at full speed (and volume) at ridiculously early hours of the morning. (For several months, my son was waking up at five am. FIVE. AM!) So after becoming a mom, I quickly learned I needed to learn how to cope with this morning thing that has the nerve to come around every single day.

I do everything I can the night before. Make lunches, pack up backpacks, lay out outfits, set up the coffeemaker to greet me when I come downstairs, and prepare as much as breakfast as I can.

I make an effort to be up before the kids. Its so tempting to sneak in more sleep, but mornings go much smoother when I have a head start. I get up, have a cup of coffee and read for a bit before the kids decend.

I plan. And have a back-up plan. Mondays we have pancakes, Tuesdays we have cereal, Wednesdays we have muffins and yogurt, etc. And my back-up plan is frozen waffles. Its one of the fwe things that everyone likes. When the morning is totally crazy and chaotic and we're running late, I can throw frozen waffles in the toaster and (if need be) they can be eaten in the car.

Fruit-Pizza-Mixed-Berry-Granola Now, to add another weapon to my crazy morning arsenal, the Eggo Real Fruit Pizza. I popped them in the microwave this morning and 2 minutes later, breakfast was served. All three of my kids loved them and declared them "VERY YUMMY." I have to confess, I was skeptical, but they were actually really good! Not too sweet, great flavor and more filling than a waffle.

My boys are early risers to. I am SO NOT a morning person.
I try to have as much ready the night before as well. Kiel eats breakfast at daycare most mornings, and that helps.
I’m super impressed with your breakfast schedule. It’s pretty much cereal or oatmeal in our house.

I have a special container that holds the cereal and milk ready for serving. If my daughter wakes before me she can serve herself without the risk of spilling a gallon of milk on the floor.

I try to pack lunches and lay out clothes the night before. I also try to get a head start and get up at least 30 minutes before everyone else so that I can shower, get dressed and have coffee before everyone gets up. Most importantly, I keep a regular bedtime schedule during the school week.

We lay out all breakfast stuff in the morning. If the kids are having bananas or a piece of fruit it goes on the already set breakfast table. Cups are out, plates are ready, Bread container by the toaster and the menu planned out.

I have three children, ages 7, 5 and 3. Mornings are crazy in our household. The kids are always looking for a great, hot breakfast and I am always going after my coffee! I wake up before the kids so I can drink my coffee and read the paper. Once they get up, I am ready to greet them and the day!

My kids also love to get up way too early. I, on the other hand, love to sleep. We also get clothes ready the night before and hubby does his and kids lunches in the morning (he leaves before we get up). We go downstairs and pick out breakfast which is usually a battle.

I make my mornings saner by getting up at the crack of dawn, drinking a pot of coffee (well maybe not quite that much!) and catching up on the shows I dvr’d from the past week. By no means am I a morning person, so I need this time alone to wake up and become cheerful before my husband and son wake up.

  42. 42

The boys get their baths the night before, and their clothes for morning get laid out before bed. Lunch gets packed the night before, along with anything else the kids need for the day.

Not sure how to share on FB, but I emailed a bunch of my friends to tell them about the giveaway!

I make the lunches in the morning and am running like a chicken…perhaps this would be a nice change to cereal or fruit for breakfast.

I do a lot of planning in my head the night before, but not so much “actual doing.” I do usually wake before the kiddos so that gives me the time I need. We love pancakes, toaster strudels, & french toast for breakfast.
