This week for homework, Ellie had to brainstorm in her journal eight words that end in '-eck' and '-uck.'
She came up with a list that included:
yuck
duck
deck
truck
luck
puck
peck
... and another word that was promptly crossed off the list and replaced with "neck."
That would not have been good to turn that in on Friday when we have parent-teacher conferences on Monday!

Great story! Best part is she crossed it out. But I wonder, did she do it because it isn't a word, or that she knew its a bad word? 2 totally different issues here.

At least your child didn't read that word on you tube. And it was all my fault - preview videos for "funny baby videos" before showing them to the kids. That's all I gotta say.
