as i watched my granddaughter play with her nephews I learned that she was a tough lil girl and that is what it takes in this world being tough with a big heart

I remember sitting in a meeting of all male colleagues who were FLOORED that Naia liked Thomas the Train enough to be totally stoked about going to the live event. Yet at the same time, this girl wants to be Tinkerbell (not that she knows who Tinkerbell is actually, she just wants to be a fairy princess) for Halloween.
It is also not uncommon to walk into the grand playroom at my girls’ daycare/preschool to see the little 3-year-old boys wearing the frilly dress-up dresses and chasing the girls. Somehow that stops around 4- or 5-years-old. Makes you wonder how much of that is due to adults and/or tv programming conditioning.

Now see, I have two girls that LOVE matchbox cars and Thomas the train and we don’t own any barbies (but we do have American girl)!!!

Boys are a completely different species. They can turn anything into a toy and have the best time with it.

Oh, it just gets better! They are so fun, so cute, so sweet. Every day I am thankful for my boy, he teaches me how to play!

Boys are so great, aren’t they? My boy is so tough yet so sweet and loving. I hope he always keeps that balance …
BTW, my boy was singing “once upon a dream” in the middle of Target today … can you tell he has a big sister???

We now have boy land and girl-land! Our son is ALL-Boy but can occasionally be found playing with his big sisters’ princess castle or polly pockets – however usually a rocket or dragon is involved!

its amazing what they can turn into a weapon, too, isnt it? ;-)

We also have two girls and then a boy. Completely different world! All the boy toys, the boy clothes, NOT the same as dressing a little girl!! But I’ve found that nothing is sweeter than the way a little boy loves his mamma!
