So I thought you might like to see pictures of our house, since I've been talking about it so much. And since its on the market and all, its probably looking as clean as it ever has, so might as well show it off now
Here is the outside:
the first floor – living room:
dining room and kitchen:
downstairs is the family room, mudroom and newly de-wallpapered powder room:
upstairs are the kids' bedrooms:
and our bedroom and bath (redecorated when extremely pregnant with Colin)
fourth bedroom (in-laws' room) and kids' bath
Do you see how in the bathroom picture the curtain isn't right? And the soap is on the windowsill for some reason? This really annoys me. I really want to take another one and ask our agent to replace it. Is that being too high-maintenance and anal? You can tell me if it is… I won't be offended…

I am impressed – white furniture and 3 kids? Really impressed! I totally understand the issues with the shower curtain and soap (not that I noticed it AT ALL). When our house was on the market last summer, I had a fit because the realtor came to take pictures a day early and I was washing the duvet cover on my bed and the pictures had just the duvet. I made him come back and take new pictures.
it looks absolutely beautiful! don’t you feel like, this is great! we don’t need to move!
i think it’s fine and i don’t even notice BUT I am so critical about our own things that, if this were my house, I’m sure I would!
Cute place, and I have to laugh, my first thought was – how do you have such nice white furniture with 3 kids?? My red couch has a few stains and it is dark-colored!
Now for important questions(haha) … where did you get the little book racks next to the girls’ bunkbeds? (I ask because we’re about to buy bunks and I want a place for the kids to store a few books and stuff)… the racks are a great idea!
our couches and chair are from Ikea – they have slipcovers. i will NEVER buy a couch without a slipcover. you would not believe what i have washed off those covers! eww!
the book racks are ‘collectors shelves’ from pottery barn kids. and our bunk beds are from simplybunkbeds.com – a GREAT online store with the best prices on kids beds.
Now THAT is clean!
Nothing like putting a house on the market to inspire you to keep it pristine. I almost didn’t want to leave my house after I got it ready to sell. ALMOST.
Oh I would SO retake the photos- you’re not crazy at all, well either that or we both are.
Cute home!
I would retake the pictures, but I am just as anal as you are. I would want the pictures to be perfect too. It is what they see first.
I would completely buy your house in a second. It’s so cute and would fit our family perfectly. Any chance you can move it to the north Fort Worth area??
