You may have noticed that I haven't been blogging much lately. There was a reason. A good one. Something I wasn't ready to blog about yet, despite the fact that it was slowly taking over my life. No, I'm not pregnant. Remember those posts about being really, really busy? And those posts about working on the house? Well…
We're buying a new house.
I KNOW!
We've been looking around for a few weeks – just to see what is out there. And we fell in love with this absolutely adorable neighborhood. An amazing neighborhood. It looks like a movie set, its just so cute. And its a fantastic location. Then we found a house in it. And, on Friday afternoon, they accepted our offer.
Holy cow.
We're super excited. Its a great house with an amazing yard!! It's a fixer-upper, so be prepared for some great HGTV-ish posts involving us trying to do things, getting in wayyy over our heads, then having to hire someone to fix what we messed up. Seriously – it has one of the ugliest kitchens ever. EV-VER. (New kitchen – WHOOT!) And lovely wood paneling. Ugh.
Now there's just one problem. We have to sell our current house. And quick. We've been working like CRAZY for the last two weeks trying to get it in tip-top shape. But then Friday we learned we had to get our house on the market by Tuesday. As in TODAY.
Excuse me for a moment while I breathe into a paper bag. And collapse in a puddle of exhaustion and sore muscles.
We did it, though! Our house is on the market and our inspection on the new house happened this afternoon. So we're seeing dollar signs and lots of work. But also was reminded of all the things we loved about this new place! Like a great layout and hardwood floors and gorgeous moldings and huge closets and the YARD and the space – ohmygoodness the space! Anyway, get ready for some crazy posts!!
Know anyone looking to buy a delightful, adorable little house in the Philly suburbs?

Congratulations on finding a house!! Hope yours sells quickly!!
I’m SO excited for you!!!!!
Congratulations! I am fighting the moving bug…husband says no but I am really wanting to find another house.
super excited for you!!!!! Good luck trying to sell yours – I think that may be more challenging in this market than trying to fix up a fixer-upper!
How exciting!! I am so happy for you! I loved when we found our house, so I can only imagine your feelings!!
Congrats!!
You have won a blog award! Go to my blog: http://www.caitlindomanico.com to see it:)
You guys move more than anyone I know. But I’m happy for you and your cute house!
So exciting. I will pray that your house sells quickly. I know first hand how stressful it can be to sell a house with little ones (and all of their stuff) underfoot!
how exciting!!! good luck with everything… looking forward to hearing all about it.

First off – Woo Hoo! Congrats on the new place!! (I am slightly jealous as I don’t know how we will fit another kid plus all the “stuff” that comes with a new little person in this house!!) Second – I wanted to chat with you at Muffins w/ mom and I was so distracted chasing around my 2 year old so I missed out – boo! And finally – thanks for your comment on my blog yesterday – it made my day!
Congrats to you guys!! How exciting

Congratulations. I guess you are following what your husband’s father remarked about five years ago – you have to move every five years, or you accumulate too much stuff. Things are picking up in the housing market, so hopefully it won’t take long to sell.
Actually I do know of some people in the philly suburbs looking to buy.
Can you email the information on the house.
