Colin has had a 103 fever since Saturday morning and he's going to the doctor today. I'm pooped. Between not sleeping, constantly carrying him and nursing practically around the clock. I feel like I have a newborn again. Well, a newborn weighing 25 pounds with a mouthful of teeth and yells "MAMAMA!!!" while hitting your b00b when he wants to nurse.

You say: "Girls, your brother is sleeping! Please be quiet!"
They hear: "Girls! Be extra loud! And please play in the hallway right outside Colin's door!"

We're having a major obedience crackdown over here. The girls were horrendous in church yesterday. I could tell by the look on my husband's face when they all walked in the door. And how quiet Grace was. And how she came inside and walked right upstairs and got in her bed. And how Ellie was pretending to be asleep so we wouldn't talk to her.
Yes. It was that bad.
It was kind-of the icing on the cake. The girls have been acting poorly for a few weeks now and we've been too busy/sick/tired to really deal with it and then the behavior just snowballs…
So now we need to get things back in shape around here. Always fun.

All that to say, if I'm not posting this week, that's why! Off to the pediatrician! Again!

I really hope Colin feels better soon! You need a sickness break! Hope the girls get back on track. We have had to deal with that before, and it is easier to get back then most people think.
Get some rest!!!
Poor boy. Sorry to hear he is feeling so sick!!!!
We are having obedience issues here with our foster daughter too
Wish we could pretend we’re asleep and have the children leave us alone for a little while…or would that just make them yell “mama” louder?
Oh no! We’re in the same boat with the discipline crackdown. Stinks and I feel for ya. Poor Colin. Poor everyone.
those obedience crackdowns are rough… bless your heart! And poor Colin.
You have really had a rough winter. Spring is coming soon and may just be the panacea that you all need!
It does tend to snowball especially when Mom is tired! We have certainly had those Sundays.
Hope Colin feels better.
Have a great day!
Hope things are better and that everyone is healthy at last. Sometimes the healthy kids act up whenever the sick child is needing and is getting more attention. Sometimes the healthy ones seem to somehow (I think, unconsciously) feel that they are not as cared for or as loved or just not getting enough of mom’s and dad’s time, so they misbehave. I know, not at all logical, but… Hopefully Colin will be permanently better. Do fevers contribute to a family’s own version of global warming?
