Blimey. For the first time ever – and I mean ever – I didn’t recoil in disgust and horror at the pregnant lady heebies. I didn’t fear the fertility cooties. The whole ‘miracle of life’ thing used to freak me out to the point of panic. Honestly, when I saw my sister when she was pregnant, I could barely touch her. It was a serious baby phobia.
Instead, this time, I was happy and, yes, a bit jealous. You look cute, healthy and happy. And if something makes a person cute, healthy and happy, it must only be a great and wonderful thing, right?
So then I went home to husband and we had ‘the baby talk’. *shiver* I have three months to get loads of beer and smokes down my neck, then I turn into a potential mommy.
Of course, I’ll probably be a fat, spotty, angry and sick pregnant lady with a craving for fast food.
Congratulations; again, again and again. All jokes aside, I can honestly say that I’m happy for you.
